Saturday, November 22, 2008 Guest Speaker: Wilma Koopman, RN, MSc.N CNN(C) Wilma is a nurse practitioner in an acute care hospital in London, Ontario, providing medical services to both hospitalized & ambulatory care individuals & families with neuromuscular diseases since 1981. Wilma has collaborated on multiple research studies in MG including swallowing problems & sleep apnea. She has authored many articles on neuroscience nursing including MS, GBS, & MG. Wilma lectures extensively on neuromuscular diseases locally, nationally and internationally. Her affiliations are many. She is an advocate for patients & families with neuromuscular diseases; particularly MG. She is the chair of MGFA’s Nurse’s Advisory Board. More details to come! |
